Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Applicants must have experience of the following:
- A degree in a STEM subject or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of techniques and methodology used in the development of safety cases
- Strong knowledge of UK nuclear legislation, industry, site licensing, authorisation and environmental permitting with associated industry guidance
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Member or working towards being a member of a relevant professional institute
- Knowledge of the UK nuclear regulatory landscape and permitting requirements

Role information:

- Provide input on the Site Safety Case through the application of appropriate analytical methods
- Provide authoritative advice, guidance and mentoring of safety case specialists in order to maintain an effective safety case structure
- Ensure the site Safety Case team carries out all tasks in a way that complies with policies and procedures
- Liaise with internal and external safety and regulatory authorities
- Take part in internal and external meetings associated with safety and nuclear regulations
