We are working on an exclusive basis with a highly reputable client who is looking to appoint a talented and hardworking finance professional. This is a key appointment and offers an exciting opportunity to progress to Head of Finance in the future. Following a recent acquisition, the client is approaching an exciting time in its evolution as it looks to execute its strategic initiatives.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will act up in the capacity of number 2 in finance and provide valuable business partnering support to a diverse business portfolio.

Key duties include:

  • Supporting the board and senior leadership team by ensuring that the management accounts are prepared accurately and provide insightful information.
  • Ensure accounts are prepared with consideration to variance to budget and forecast and preparing balance sheet reconcilliations.
  • Oversee the annual audit, ensuring internal controls are maintained, or amended as appropriate, providing support to the quarterly rolling forecast process and budget.
  • Provide a high level of support in the month end reporting process.
  • Prepare thirteen weekly cashflow forecasts and provide assistance with the banking relationship from a transactional perspective.
  • Responsible for influencing and motivating the transactional finance team.
  • Play a crucial part in the development of financial reporting, systems and controls.

The successful candidate must be a good communicator with excellent finance business partnering skills. You will have a sound knowledge of IT systems in an accounting environment, be commercially astute and results focused.
