We are working on an exclusive basis with a highly reputable client who is looking to appoint a talented and results focused Head of Finance. This is a number 1 appointment in finance that offers clear career progression to become Finance Director in the future. Following an acquisition, the client is approaching an exciting time in its evolution as it looks to execute its strategic initiatives.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for leading the finance team across a varied business portfolio, providing valuable insight and reporting, business partnering, budgeting and forecasting and driving and delivering positive financial outcomes for the business.

Key duties include:

  • Reporting performance and insights to various stakeholders, including the board and Operations Directors, through presentations, traditional reporting and PowerBI.
  • Manage and support a team of 5, providing training and support to aid professional development.
  • Forecast and manage cashflows across the group.
  • Partner with operational departments to provide key insights into their performance and provide advice on future commercial opportunities to enhance business value, both from a divisional and group perspective.
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accounts are closed in-line with month-end deadlines and ensure profit and loss performance is fully understood.
  • Key audit contact driving improvements to the existing control environment to reduce error and risk.

The successful candidate must be highly credible and possess strong communication, finance business partnering and cashflow management skills. You will be an enthusiastic, hardworking, a commercially astute individual who enjoys managing change, adding value, improving processes and having a major impact on the future successes of the business. A self-starter with strong project accounting and the ability to lead from the front is a must.
