Project Professional
Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Rate: £20 PAYE or £26.39 Umbrella
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Working Arrangements:

  • Hybrid: 2 days on-site per week (Wednesdays mandatory, other day flexible).
  • Hours: 37 hours per week, early finish on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate PM&C processes on projects or support more senior staff on larger initiatives.
  • Perform non-complex project reporting, scheduling, and resolve basic issues.
  • Provide earned value management (EVM) analysis and monthly reporting using SAP tools.
  • Support Work Package Management by managing cost charges, timesheets, and reviewing labour and material bookings.
  • Participate in risk reviews, baseline plan updates, and performance measurement baseline change requests.
  • Support In-Year Financial Management (IYFM) and quarterly Estimate At Completion (EAC) processes.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of Project policies, processes, and tools with experience demonstrated in a professional project environment.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking in project-related contexts.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support routine tasks.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with SAP, Excel, and project management tools is a plus.
  • No prior PM qualifications are required, but the successful candidate is expected to work towards a PM qualification, such as APM Fundamentals.
