Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experiencedSafety Case Developer with a background in Nuclear on a permanent basis, to be located in Barrow with flexible hybrid working.
What you'll be doing:

  • Providing input to the Principal Engineering Manager (Site Safety Case) on production of effective safety cases through application of appropriate analytical methods and development of the documentation structure.
  • Responsible for the provision of authoritative advice, guidance, mentoring and coaching of safety case specialists to develop and maintain an effective safety case capability.
  • Providing authoritative guidance on the development of an appropriate safety case structure, development processes and associated analytical methods.
  • Ensuring that the Site Safety Case Team undertakes all activities in a manner consistent with Company Policy, Business Processes and the Quality Assurance programme.
  • Acting as a point of contact with internal and external safety and regulatory authorities.

Your skills and experiences:
Essential:

  • Degree in STEM subject (or equivalent experience).
  • Extensive knowledge of the techniques and methodology used in the development of safety cases that meet relevant good practice.
