12 month contract (Inside IR35) - £70.90 per hour umbrella / £61.54 PAYE (inclusive of holiday pay)
Hybrid working – circa once per month on site
Job Role:
- Assist in the development of the nuclear site safety case
- Hazard identification and analysis
- Deterministic assessment
- Probabilistic assessment
- Support ongoing periodic review of safety activities
- Support ongoing regulatory discussions with ONR/DNSR
- Interface with engineering substantiation team
Key Experience Required:
- Degree in engineering or equivalent
- Significant experience of Safety Case development techniques and practices - in Nuclear or other high hazard industry.
- Experience with Naval Nuclear programme ideal but not essential
- Safety case authoring
- Understanding of modern standards in a nuclear safety case
- Knowledge of nuclear safety cases and their application to submarines would be an advantage
- Has experience of working within maritime, defence or safety engineering industries

- The ability to influence others in a challenging environment
