Morson are recruiting a Security Officer to work on an initial 12 month basis with our leading Barrow based defence client. 
The role holder will support the early identification of risk from Insider Threat and its impact on Security Active Risk Management, through joint working with relevant internal and external stakeholders protecting the company, its people, infrastructure, information and assets, as well as the interests of its shareholders and customers, and to deliver regulatory and legal obligations.

Working within the investigtation & intelligence team the Security Advisor will be conducting active investigations including interviewing and going out onto site when needed. Prior security guard experience or experience within informal investigation teams is required. 

Core Duties
Typical duties include but are not limited to the following: 

Deliver focused, proportional, independent, lawful intelligence gathering, meeting all legislative and regulatory requirements, in support of insider threat risk mitigation, across all Products and Programmes.
Support the early identification of risk from Insider Threat and its impact on Security Risk Management, by joint working with relevant internal and external stakeholders.
Plan deliver and support investigations to Security industry standards.
Develop and deliver intelligence requirements and intelligence collection plans.
Research and harvest appropriate information across all relevant systems.
Maintain and develop the Archer investigation management tool by ensuring timely and mature record keeping.
Identify investigative opportunites to the Senior Security Advisor.
Support the Insider Threat Working Group by collating relevant information on emerging or existing trends and hotpspots impacting on business 
Support investigations and intelligence team function by conducting appropriate tasks and producing high quality reports.
Drive intelligence gathering opportunities through appropriate use of social media and open source.
Attend relevant meetings on or offsite to develop and maintain good stakeholder relations.
Raise security awareness through being a security role model.


Key Accountabilities –

Reduction of all security reports in areas identified as high risk.
Reduction of security incidents 
Increase the number of information shares between partners.

Skills: 
Experience in interacting and communicating with different levels of seniority and with customers.
Sound written and verbal communication skills.
Sound working knowledge of MS Office applications.
