Senior Security Advisor - Crypto

Barrow in Furness based (Hybrid 3-4 days in the office per week)

85.15 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35

12 Month Contract initially.


This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UK's leading Defence organisations based In Barrow in Furness.

Responsibilities:-

  • Operate in the role of Cryptographic Custodian on the Cryptographic materials account.
  • Be responsible for the safe custody, registration, mustering, amendment, issue, safe handling and disposal of Cryptographic Assets held
  • Working alongside other security disciplines, facility management and outside agencies to plan and deliver the effective provision of business enabling security and create resilient, secure working environments
  • Provide advice and guidance to business functions on the interpretation and application of applicable security policies, ensuring compliance.
  • Represent the Security Department at internal and external meetings to promote the work of the department and ensure this aligns to wider business values and objectives.
  • Gather data, analyse and prepare reports or presentations to feed information back to teams/managers.
  • Communicate security risks and issues to managers and others and then applies and maintains specific security controls as required by organisational policy and local risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate Security Processes relating to scope area

Qualification requirements

  • Have completed an appropriate MoD recognised Custodian Training Course, and have received certification of successful completion
  • Must be willing and eligible to undergo DV Clearance or hold DV Clearance
