Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Band 5/6 Audiologist to join our Audiology team on a locum basis at Cardiff and Vale NHS Trust. This role is ideal for a professional with solid NHS experience, who is skilled in adult audiology rehabilitation and hearing aid services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adult Rehabilitation: Perform hearing aid repairs and manage rehabilitation cases.
  • ENT Cover: Provide support and assistance for ENT-related cases.
  • Hearing Aid Fittings: Conduct fittings and ensure devices are tailored to patient needs.
  • Direct Referral Hearing Assessments: Assess and provide recommendations for patients referred directly for hearing evaluation.
  • Hearing Aid Reassessments: Perform follow-up assessments and adjust hearing aids as needed.
Essential Requirements:
  • NHS experience in Audiology is essential.
  • Competency in adult rehabilitation, hearing aid repairs, and fittings.
  • Familiarity with direct referral assessments and ENT coverage.
