Special Resource Base (SRB) Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Resource Base (SRB) Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Cardiff starting after the October half-term. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with children who have additional learning needs (ALN) in a specialized setting.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and group support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum.
  • Implement personalized learning plans and assist in the development of tailored educational activities.
  • Support children with behavioural challenges, social, emotional, and communication needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and other professionals, such as SENCO and speech therapists, to ensure the pupils' progress.
  • Help manage sensory or movement breaks to support children's focus and comfort throughout the school day.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, ensuring children feel supported and encouraged in their learning.


Requirements:

  • Experience working within an SRB or as an LSA supporting children with SEN/ALN is highly desirable.
  • Ability to manage and support pupils with a variety of needs.
  • Must have an Enhanced DBS and be registered with the EWC.
