About the Role:
As a Supervising Social Worker in our Placement and Permanency team, you will play a crucial role in supporting and developing our foster carers, ensuring they can provide safe and nurturing homes for children. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supervising foster carers, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they meet the highest standards of care.
- Undertaking Child Protection Assessments (CPA) and Form F assessments, contributing to the matching and approval process for prospective foster carers.
- Managing a caseload of foster carers, ensuring regular visits, reviews, and support is provided.
- Working collaboratively with internal and external partners, including social workers, health professionals, and schools.
- Contributing to the recruitment and retention of foster carers.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records in line with statutory requirements.
- Participating in out-of-hours support as required.
About You:
- Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
- Demonstrable experience of supervising foster carers, undertaking CPA and Form F assessments.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance, including the Fostering Services Regulations 2011.
- Excellent assessment, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
