A great opportunity to join a globally operating and successful logistics / automation company as a multi skilled Maintenance Engineer working at a well-known retailers automated distribution centre in Derbyshire. This role will suit Maintenance Engineer’s located in Burton on Trent, Lichfield, Tamworth or South Derbyshire. Shift pattern provides 7 full days off every 28 days ! 

The facility is 30 metres in height and over 600,000 sq ft with extensive loading areas and substantial automated systems for you to work on.

  • Salary of c£44k + Healthcare + Pension
  • Continental shift pattern (12 hour days and nights)  (1 full week off every 28 days!)

Day to day activities of a Maintenance Engineer include :

  • Reactive maintenance
  • Planned maintenance
  • Electro-mechanical engineering
  • Controls fault finding
  • Problem analysis and continuous improvement

Looking for multi skilled Electrical / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, ideally with an understanding of PLC’s.

Requirements of Maintenance Engineer:

  • Ideally fully apprenticeship trained with Level 3 engineering qualifications
  • Good level of electrical and mechanical knowledge from a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Working knowledge of PLC control systems, desirably Siemens S7
  • Experience of automated materials handling systems would also be an advantage but not essential
  • Happy to work a continental shift pattern with days and nights.
  • Ok to work at heights when needed (via harnesses and full training etc)
