My client is a dedicated organisation committed to providing safe and supportive accommodation for homeless individuals in Basildon. The mission is to empower our residents by offering them the resources and support they need to rebuild their lives.

Role Overview: I am seeking a compassionate and experienced Homeless Accommodation Manager to oversee our accommodation services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the well-being of residents, and leading a team of support staff.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the accommodation facility.
  • Ensure a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for all residents.
  • Manage and support a team of staff, including recruitment, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve service delivery.
  • Liaise with external agencies and stakeholders to coordinate support services.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the accommodation services.
  • Handle resident issues and complaints with empathy and professionalism.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the homelessness or social care sector.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work under pressure and handle challenging situations.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in homelessness services.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting vulnerable individuals
