Pure is exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller for a privately owned business based in Basildon, which sells premium products in over 100 countries.
The role reports to the CEO and offers a pathway to the Group’s Finance Director position.
Candidates should have 5-7 years of experience in similar roles and hold ACA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications.
The position includes responsibilities in financial management, treasury, audit compliance, taxation, and team leadership, with a salary of £70,000 to £80,000.

The position reports to the CEO and includes a pathway to the Group’s Finance Director role.Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management: Oversee financial controls, prepare consolidated management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, and manage payroll and pricing integrity.
Treasury: Manage relationships with banks, cash flow reporting, funding strategies, and oversee payments and debt recovery.
Audit & Compliance: Handle relationships with auditors, ensure timely completion of audits, and ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and tax laws.
Taxation: Review VAT returns and submit corporation tax returns, ensuring compliance with HMRC.
Insurance: Oversee annual insurance renewals.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and improve processes.
IT Management: Lead software strategy and management.
Team Leadership: Manage a team of two finance professionals.

Qualifications:

Experience: 5-7 years in similar roles, with industry experience.
Education: ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
Skills: Strong software implementation experience; familiarity with SAP Business One, MS Power BI, and MS Dynamics is advantageous.
