Our client is a manufacturer and distributor of precision equipment. They are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take full day to day operational responsibility for their finance, HR & IT departments. Reporting to the CEO, this is a hands on role covering statutory reporting, preparation of management information, Board reporting, Budgets, Taxation and all financial aspects of corporate governance.

Duties include:

  • Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger and cost accounting.
  • Review current systems, processes and controls and recommend necessary changes
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, and variance reports.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly management accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Liaise with external advisers.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to guide decision-making processes.
  • Manage financial risk and ensure the company's financial stability.
  • Manage, motivate and develop the accounts team.
  • Manage and complete staff payroll and pensions.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • VAT reconciliations and submissions.
  • Year end accounts for Audits.
  • Manage sales commission.

IT

  • Take responsibility for the Strategic IT management for the company
  • Manage the IT Supervisor as per other team members
  • Setup & Oversee the company’s Finance IT System

HR

  • Monitor all HR and financial activities—benefits, compensation, payroll, regulatory compliance—to ensure the company’s operating in alignment with the best practices

Skills:

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
