Reed Engineering are currently representing a leading CNC business located in Essex and are looking to expand their team of machinists.

Duties:

  • Produce precision components from drawings using CNC machines
  • Produce accurate, high-quality components with maximum efficiency
  • Set and operate CNC milling machines and set associated tooling
  • Work to tight tolerances and check your own work meets the required standard
  • Work on your own initiative and understand all aspects of the manufacturing process
  • Be fully responsible for the quality of work produced
  • Clean and maintain CNC machine and all associated equipment and working area.

Skills & Experience:

  • Fully skilled time served CNC setter/operator
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings and follow written instructions
  • Able to use a wide variety of measuring equipment 
  • Computer literate
  •  Ability to use Alphacam for programming would be beneficial but will be taught
  • Must have good attention to detail, good practical skills
  • Must be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team in a safe manner
