Material Controller

Material Controller/ Basildon / £25 per hourAre you a proactive Material Controller with a passion for ensuring seamless material flow in a manufacturing environment? Our Client, a leading Aerospace and Defence Organisation are seeking a motivated Material Controller to join their team in Basildon.

• Organise and issue materials to manufacturing.
• Maintain traceability of materials and finished goods.
• Contribute to the Master Production Schedule.
• Handle returns of faulty materials.
• Collaborate with engineers to maintain build standards.
• Manage works orders for new builds and repairs.
• Ensure material availability per the MPS.
• Generate shipping documentation and book shipments.
• Process customer repairs and monitor product shelf life.
• Control and report on government-furnished assets.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers.
• Manage inventory and resolve SAP issues.

• Experience in material planning/control in manufacturing or similar.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar systems is highly desirable.
• Organised, logical thinker, numerate, and proactive.

Must Have:

• Experience in material planning/control environments.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and test environments.
• Proficiency in email, Excel, Word, and Teams.
• Proven technical experience in production control.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SAP material control.
