Our client based in Basildon is looking for an experienced Forklift Operative (with a valid counterbalance forklift licence) to join their logistics team on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have previous warehouse experience, good communication and numeracy skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Container stuffing and unloading (potentially handball at times)
  • Loading and offloading trailers
  • Labelling incoming and outgoing goods
  • Understanding of freight management
  • Maintaining a good work ethic and teamwork
  • Ensuring safety at all times
  • Some overtime may be required

Requirements:

  • Valid counterbalance forklift licence with 2 years of practical experience for insurance purposes
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • Good communication and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Some heavy lifting required

Working Hours:

  • 8am to 5pm, with 1 hour for lunch, Monday to Friday
