Job Title: Freight Coordinator (Customer Service)

Job Description:

Align with the department's vision for business development to deliver exceptional customer service.

Accurately record customer bookings in the operational system to ensure seamless logistics.

Maintain regular communication with the sales team, providing updates on new sales leads and ensuring smooth shipment handovers.

Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to optimise department efficiency.

Provide timely and accurate quotations, ensuring they are sent to the sales team or line manager within two hours of receipt and recorded in a consistent format.

Identify and implement efficiency's in customer work flow in collaboration with the line manager.

Manage and maintain key accounts, ensuring general inquiries and service requests are handled promptly.

Update and maintain the CRM system, ensuring all spot quotations and customer interactions are logged.

Follow up on inquiries and gather customer feedback to improve service delivery.

Handle and resolve customer complaints within the agreed time frame, following SOP guidelines.

Support the Credit Control team in collecting overdue payments from suppliers and clients.

Conduct customer due diligence checks for new accounts to ensure compliance.

Uphold high standards of professionalism, health & safety, and personal conduct, actively promoting company policies.

Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Manage client and subcontractor relationships in accordance with company policies and best practices.

Ensure all financial transactions adhere to company policies, legal requirements, and best practice guidelines.

Follow company processes and procedures to ensure compliance across all operations.

Accurately input and manage customer bookings for international, national, and cross-trade shipments.

Provide customers with cost-effective and accurate quotations in a timely manner.

Confirm receipt of quotations by telephone to ensure prompt service.

Coordinate shipment bookings with third-party contractors and manage cross-trade consignments.

Schedule and confirm customer deliveries, ensuring efficient coordination with suppliers and origin offices.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and reliable service.

Oversee invoicing and administrative tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards
