Our client offers advanced high-precision manufacturing services across the UK and Europe, and have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join one of their sites in South Essex.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and uphold the Quality Management System (AS9100).
- Assist in defect reviews, corrective actions, and resolving customer quality concerns.
- Address supplier quality issues and generate necessary reports.
- Provide quality training and mentorship.
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports.
- Examine failure trends.
- Prepare for and conduct internal and external audits.
- Develop quality metrics and KPIs.
- Collaborate with Inspection, Engineering, and Production teams.
- Ensure timely rework of parts following investigations.
- Approve Certificates of Conformance for deliveries.
- Engage in Continuous Improvement projects.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Skills & Experience required:
- In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
- Aerospace / defence experience
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
