Buyer - 12 Month FTC
We are recruiting for a well-established company based in Basildon who are seeking a Buyer to join their team on a full-time basis for a 12-month FTC. The successful candidate will be supporting the purchasing team and reporting directly to the Purchasing Manager. This role is paying a competitive salary, and the working hours are Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm and Friday 8am-3:30pm. Who doesn't like an early finish every Friday?Duties will include:
- Speaking with suppliers and maintaining knowledge of the industry market to keep costing competitive and negotiating prices and delivery quotations
- Investigating data for multiple components and confirming the best purchasing options
- Using an efficient and accurate system for monitoring all purchasing and quoting activities
- Liaising and supporting other departments within the business, such as Sales, Production and Engineering
- Reporting to the Purchasing Manager and providing ad hoc support when required
To be successful for this role, you must have at least 3-5 years' experience in a similar position. You must have strong knowledge of using MRP systems as well as having excellent communication, organisational, and planning skills.
