Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Basildon
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum
Hours: Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
About the Role of the Quantity Surveyor:
We are excited to be handling the recruitment for our client, a leading commercial and industrial flooring company based in Basildon. They are seeking a skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team.
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of their projects. You will work closely with the project teams to ensure costs are controlled and projects are delivered within budget. Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
- Preparing, negotiating, and analyzing costs for tenders and contracts.
- Managing the financial performance of projects.
- Overseeing costs and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensuring compliance with contract terms and legal requirements.
- Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the commercial or industrial flooring sector (or construction-related industries).
- Strong knowledge of cost management, budgeting, and financial forecasting.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
