Premier Work Support is currently recruiting for a permanent European Road Freight Trainee for our prestigious client in the Basildon Area.

As the Road Freight Trainee you will be responsible for:

  • Creating and processing of Groupage shipments on your assigned services
  • Assisting your Supervisor/Manager and colleagues by creating bookings, providing customer assistance, invoicing and undertaking general daily duties relating to the associated department.
  • Ensuring client's needs and expectations are met and where possible exceeded in a timely and cost effective manner
  • Together with your colleagues, assisting with the development of the department and Company as a whole
  • Assisting the CCT department in customs clearance of exports & imports
  • Working with the Management & Directors to maximise the profits for both department and Company as a whole
  • Creating jobs and manifests in Navitas
  • Invoicing for in a timely manner
  • Obtaining and preparing of documents for our Customs team to process
  • Filing
  • Liaising with our overseas agents
  • Providing excellent Customer Service, using emails and phones as appropriate

The ideal candidate for this role will have some proven administration experience ideally although not essential in the freight industry.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 9.00am - 5.30pm
