The Role: Business development Manager
Located: Basildon (HO) Hybrid/ London based
Salary: 35,000 - 40,000 PA

We are seeking a Proactive Business Development Manager to join our established clients, Sales Team. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with driving sales growth and enhancing profit margins within the Healthcare sector nationwide. Your success will hinge on acquiring new clients while effectively managing and expanding their existing accounts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve Sales Targets: Consistently meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Account Management: Cultivate and grow key national accounts while ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Strategic Development: Formulate and implement strategies to identify potential clients and convert them into key accounts.
  • Sales Follow-Up: Diligently pursue all sales opportunities to maximise revenue.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain strong relationships with existing customers through both online interactions and face-to-face meetings.
  • New Client Acquisition: Successfully on board new customers in the private and public mental health sectors from initial contact through to integration.
  • CRM Management: Regularly update the CRM system (Pipedrive) with client interactions, scheduling meetings, and managing your weekly calendar.
  • Action Planning: Collaborate with the Sales Director to create an actionable 90-day plan outlining your responsibilities and deliverables.

Salary, Commission, and Benefits

  • Salary Range: Competitive salary of 35,000 - 40,000 per annum.
  • Commission Structure: Attractive commission scheme based on sales performance.

A Typical Week

  • Client Engagement: Spend approximately three days per week meeting clients on-site, with two office days at our Basildon location.
  • Time Management: Organise your schedule one to two weeks in advance; report weekly to the Sales Director on activities and upcoming appointments.
  • KPI Reporting: Provide regular updates on activities and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Team Meetings: Participate in weekly sales meetings to align strategies with team goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile


The ideal candidate will be self-motivated with exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. You should possess a proven track record in business development and account management. Comprehensive training on their products and systems will be provided to ensure you have the tools necessary for success. Ongoing sales training, coaching, and mentoring will be integral to your role. Attendance at weekly meetings at our headquarters is required, along with daily team stand-ups at 7:30 AM.
