Are you a strong controller, with experience working within manufacturing?
We’re partnering with a successful international manufacturing business in their search for a Financial Controller.
You will be responsible for the running of the UK business and team of qualified accountants.
Financial Controller – The Role
- Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial reports to the parent company, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages. Ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Statutory Accounts: Manage the preparation and filing of statutory accounts for the UK entities, ensuring compliance with UK GAAP
- Audit Management: Lead the annual external audit process, liaising with auditors and ensuring a smooth and efficient audit. Manage internal controls and compliance procedures
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, providing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting, working closely with the UK leadership team to develop realistic and achievable financial plans
- Financial Analysis: Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including variance analysis, profitability analysis, and cash flow forecasting
- Internal Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to improve finance processes and enhance efficiency
Financial Controller – Required Experience
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post-qualification experience
- Experience working for a manufacturing business
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Experience managing external audits and internal controls
- Proven leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
The Package
- Salary £70,000 - £80,000
- Bonus, pension and healthcare
- Hybrid working – 3 office days
