Management Accountant
Our exciting Construction client is looking for a Management Accountant to join the Finance Business Partnering and Reporting team. Deliver accurate financial reports, provide insightful analysis, and support strategic decision-making. Work closely with stakeholders to communicate financial data and drive business performance. Your skills in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis will support project success.
Location: Basingstoke - Hybrid working model
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

Duties:
- Provide senior management with timely, accurate, and comprehensive internal financial management accounts, offering insights into business performance to drive decision-making.
- Deliver detailed analysis and commentary on monthly performance variances against budgets and forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities, and supporting reforecasting efforts.
- Ensure operational and financial information is integrated, reflecting all business activities in the primary accounts, and continuously review systems and processes for efficiency.
- Analyse actuals, especially utility costs, to ensure accurate accounting and provide recommendations to senior management.
- Manage the budget and forecasting process, support budget holders, and confidently know when to encourage, instruct, or push back.
- Assist Finance Managers with month-end ledger control and balance sheet reconciliation.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualified Accountant holding either ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledgeable in management accounting, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical, logical problem-solver, strategic thinker with influencing skills.
- Meets deadlines with attention to detail.
- Works independently with good time management.
- Builds credibility with stakeholders.
- Personable, proactive, and committed to customer care.
