We are seeking a Microsoft SQL Server support professional to join our team as a Microsoft SQL Server Architect. This role is crucial for designing efficient database schemas and queries that minimize resource usage, thereby reducing energy consumption and supporting our mission to make the world more sustainable through innovation.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Design, configure, deploy, administer, and migrate Microsoft SQL Server solutions.
- Create design artefacts for the provision of greenfield Microsoft SQL Server solutions and the technical refresh of existing sites.
- Work closely with Solution Owners and Project Managers to ensure that solutions are defect-free, align with approved designs, and meet customer requirements.
- Support and maintain work packages throughout the Customer Solution Lifecycle.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in providing high-quality solutions and documentation using a structured approach for components of varying complexity.
- Demonstrable experience in creating or modifying design artefacts such as Architecture Overview Documents, High-Level Designs, and Low-Level Designs for Microsoft SQL Server solutions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows 2022, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Experience in steering solutions through several quality gates.
- Skilled in requirements management and familiar with associated tooling.
- Experience working on secure infrastructure solutions.
