Role Overview

The Senior Engineer, Safety will be a key member of the Safety and Environment team, providing HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulatory compliance advice across various projects. You will potentially act as the Project Discipline Leader (PDL) on individual projects, ensuring the successful delivery of safety-related project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce Project Safety Deliverables: Develop HSE Plans, HSE Philosophy, and Terms of Reference (ToR) for safety workshops.
  • Attend Safety Workshops: Participate in HAZID/ENVID, HAZOP, SIL workshops.
  • Safety Action Management: Manage and sign off on safety actions.
  • Liaise with Clients and Stakeholders: Engage with clients and external stakeholders to ensure project safety.
  • Project Discipline Leadership (PDL): Lead UK projects, ensuring the timely issuance of deliverables to support project schedules.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Extensive experience in energy projects, particularly in oil and gas design.
  • Capable of working independently and in teams to produce high-quality deliverables on time.
  • Skilled in developing HSE plans and philosophies.
  • Experience with SIMOPS, ALARP demonstration, and safety cases.
  • Proficient in working on CDM and decommissioning projects.
  • Experienced in CCS projects and attending safety workshops (HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, ALARP).
  • Capable of conducting site surveys and engaging with stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in multinational FEED projects.
  • A collaborative team player eager to develop new skills and share knowledge.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
