Location: GP Surgery, Basingstoke
Start Date: ASAP (December 2024)
Duration: Long-Term (up to 18 months)
Working Hours: Up to 42 hours per week (Mon-Fri; Part-time also considered)
Pay Rate: £33 - £37 per hour
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Locum Independent Prescriber Pharmacist to join our client's team - at a well-established GP surgery in Basingstoke. This is an exciting long-term opportunity with a role lasting up to 18 months, offering flexible hours with up to 42 hours per week available. The surgery are happy to consider part-time candidates as well.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as an integral part of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT), providing clinical input on medication management.
- Prescribe medication in line with local policies and guidelines, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
- Conduct medication reviews, patient consultations, and advice on medication therapy.
- Comply with local policies regarding annual leave and breaks.
- Full induction will be provided to ensure you are familiar with the surgery’s systems and processes.
Requirements:
- Independent Prescriber (IP) qualification is a must.
- Ideally, you will have already completed the 18-month CPPE pathway.
- Previous experience in a GP surgery setting is desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
