Our client, a commercial vehicle fleet management company, is seeking an Aftersales Manager to join their team in Basingstoke.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the aftersales operation, ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction, and driving profitability within the division.
Role:HGV Aftersales Manager
Hours:Monday to Friday, Day shifts
Location:Basingstoke
Key responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the aftersales team to ensure effective service delivery, meeting operational targets, and customer expectations.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a point of contact for client inquiries and concerns.
- Oversee the maintenance of quality standards in repairs, servicing, and diagnostics.
- Develop and implement aftersales strategies to maximize efficiency, improve customer retention, and drive sales.
- Monitor performance against KPIs and take corrective action when necessary to achieve targets.
- Manage and report on service schedules, repair bookings, parts orders, and warranties.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within all aftersales activities.
- Drive continuous improvement through training, development, and performance management of the aftersales team.
- Liaise with the operations and sales teams to ensure seamless service delivery to clients.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an aftersales or fleet management role, ideally within the commercial vehicle sector.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team, foster collaboration, and drive performance.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-focused mindset.
- Analytical skills and the ability to use data to inform decision-making and drive improvement.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and the latest technological advancements within the fleet management sector.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude with a flexible and adaptable approach.
- Relevant industry qualifications are preferred, but not essential.
