Your new companyLeading university in the South West are looking to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis. Your new roleReporting to the Head of Management Accounts, this is a broad role, covering a wide range of teams and senior stakeholders. The main duties and responsibilities will include:
- Support departments through the annual planning process, taking the lead in forecasting and working with department heads to set out budgets.
- Monitor departmental spending and income for the year against budgets and production of quarterly reports.
- Support in the bid process, ensuring financials for these projects are viable
- Assist in the preparation of the universities' annual financial statements and management accounts
- Provide analysis of performance and report variances to senior leadership teams.
- Work closely with Finance Managers to improve processes
- Management of a small team, supporting development and progression
What you'll need to succeedWe are looking for a qualified accountant with strong business partnering experience. It would be advantageous if you worked in an education or higher education setting, but we are open to applications from people that have worked in both the public and private sector with an interest in the higher education sector. You should have worked in a complex matrix structure and be able to complete internal financial reports.What you'll get in returnThe role offers an opportunity to work with a prestigious university well known both locally and internationally.
