Location: Commutable to Radstock
Remuneration: £50,000 + discretionary bonus
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits packageThe role of the Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems will involve:
- Estimator position producing estimates for the design, fabrication and installation of aluminium curtain walling, windows & doors
- Review tender documents and produce high quality tender returns
- Utilise specialist estimating software to determine material costs
- Negotiate prices with supply chain and gather quotations for projects
- Liaise and build relationships with main contractor throughout the project and beyond
- Ensure that the internal CRM system is regularly updated
- Preparing handover documents for the contracts department, once a project has been secured
- Attending pre and post tender meetings as and when required
- Estimating for projects ranging in value from £100,000 to circa £1,000,000
- Supporting and developing a Junior Estimator
- Prioritise own work load to ensure deadlines are met
The ideal applicant will be an Estimator - Commercial Glazing Systems experience with:
- Must have estimating experience within the curtain walling, windows and doors market sector
- Ideally will have a strong background dealing with architectural glazing, curtain walling, fire rated glazing, structural glazing, windows & doors
- AutoCAD, LogiKal, V6 Software Systems experience would be advantageous
- Ideally will have people management skills
- Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings
- Must be IT literate (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills
- Proactive and motivated individual with strong commercial awareness
