We work closely with a fantastic special school based on the outskirts of Bath that are looking for a KS1 SEMH Teaching Assistant to join the team ideally for the summer term. The school look after students aged 4-16 but this vacancy is within a KS1 class of around 8 students.

We've placed a few permanent staff members in the team recently who speak very fondly of the school; all commenting on how supportive the team of staff there are, as well as how rewarding the work is.

The role

As mentioned previously the class you would be supporting in is a KS1 class of 8 students where you will be working alongside 2 permanent TA's who know the class well. You must be proactive, patient, calm and confident in dealing with challenging behaviour.

The deputy head has spoken incredibly positively about this particular class, saying that they really are a lovely bunch of students! Due to the needs of the students you will ideally have worked in an SEMH environment before but they are open to a range of applications. The school are also open to supporting TA's who would like to take on the teacher training in future.
