Academics Ltd is partnering with exceptional SEN schools across the Bath area in search of a SEMH Teaching Assistant to support children and young people with a range of educational and social needs. These schools focus on helping students reach their full potential through high-quality teaching, personalised care, and specialised support. With a focus on SEMH needs, you'll be working in a diverse and inclusive setting, ensuring that each child receives the individual care and attention they need to thrive.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

* Work alongside experienced and highly trained SEN staff to support students with SEMH and other additional needs.* Assist in the academic development of students, encouraging them to achieve their potential.* Support students with personal care if required.* Develop strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents to foster a supportive environment.* Adapt your approach to suit the needs of each individual student, using initiative to support their learning and development.

What We're Looking For:

* Previous experience with children, young people, or adults with special needs is desirable but not essential.* A caring and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting students with SEN.* Strong communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.* A positive and empathetic attitude, with the ability to adapt your teaching style to suit the needs of each student.* A willingness to support personal care needs when necessary.

Essential Requirements:

* Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willingness to obtain one).* Eligibility to work in the UK.* A Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (Level 2 or above) or equivalent experience.
