Your new companyWe are partnered with an award-winning hospital that is going through a period of sizeable change and growth. Their unique set up allows for the hospital to invest back into the community, with exciting plans to open up new theatres and clinics across Bath.Your new roleIn this brown-field role, you'll have the opportunity to review and manage all historical contracts across the hospital and initially look at how commercial value can be gained whilst maintaining service levels. You'll have the opportunity to create a documentation process, KPI matrix and contract process for how the business tackles small to large scale tenders. As the sole Contract Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing contract management, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that all contracts are compliant with company policies and legal requirements. This role involves negotiating terms, managing contract lifecycles, and working closely with various departments to meet the organisation's needs. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking to gain further experience in contract management & SRM, or an experienced contract manager who would like the opportunity to further their skills in a small organisation with autonomy to action change.Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers to ensure favourable terms and compliance with company policies.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of goods and services.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement contracts and supplier relationships.
- Ensure all activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures.
- Monitor and control contract costs to achieve budgetary targets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Track and report on supplier performance, contract compliance, and company metrics via supplier KPIs.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations, to ensure needs are met effectively.
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant education or time-served in a contract / post-procurement facing role:
- Strong negotiation, communication and relationship building skills.
- Previous experience establishing and managing supplier KPIs
- Knowledge of managing budgets
- Knowledge of contract law and regulatory requirements.
- Mentorship and on-boarding experience
