What You Will Do:

  • Clean components prior to the assembly process and perform assembly in line with technical specifications.
  • Engage in rework and fitting of components, ensuring precision and adherence to standards.
  • Utilise precision measurement tools and calculate shim sizes using mathematical formulas for accurate assembly.
  • Maintain full traceability of components with diligent paperwork and digital documentation management.
  • Operate and record results from automated test rigs, contributing to the quality assurance process.
  • Collate components for final packing, ensuring the preservation and readiness of completed assemblies.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in a precision assembly or mechanical fitting environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking abilities and the capability to work independently, managing time effectively.
  • A high level of attention to detail and conscientiousness.
  • Comfortable with IT basics, including Microsoft Office, and basic mathematical equations.
  • Desirable: Experience with transmission assembly, repair, or overhaul.

Hours working 37 hour week, full time, salary of £15.41 per hour. plus 1.3 shift allowance, on a double day shift, Mon - Thurs 6.00-2.00pm, Friday 6.00-1.30pm and the following week, Mon-Wed 2pm-12.00 and Thurs 2-11.00pm and Friday off.
