This role will involve providing essential support to maintain the efficiency of manufacturing and assembly processes.

This could suit someone with experience working in an engineering stores environment or someone with experience of support assembly and manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be a team player, and possess a keen eye for detail. This role is crucial in supporting the assembly team from start to finish, ensuring all components and assemblies are managed effectively.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Provide logistical support for components, assemblies, and waste across the site.
  • Clean components prior to assembly and conduct visual inspections for damage or errors.
  • Manage stock levels of components and consumables in the assembly area.
  • Prepare completed assemblies for painting and final packing.
  • Assemble components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Identify and pick parts from the Kanban system.
  • Maintain a high level of 5S throughout the assembly environments.
  • Conduct required TPM and maintenance checks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Counterbalance forklift license would be beneficial but not essential
  • Valid driving license.
  • Strong team-working ethic and flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and contribute to a multidisciplinary team.
  • High attention to detail and conscientiousness.
  • Familiarity with IT basics, Microsoft Office, and operating systems.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience in an Engineering or Stores environment.
  • Comfortable with handling serial and part numbers.
