Domestic Gas Engineer

Reed Recruitment (Southampton Branch) are recruiting for Domestic Gas Engineers for our client who are an established National Main Contractor. Our client delivers high-quality boiler service and repair and installation services for District Councils social housing properties.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Conduct routine servicing and maintenance of gas appliances and systems in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Respond to gas breakdowns and emergencies, diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements to ensure the reliability and efficiency of gas installations.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including service reports and parts used.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, addressing any concerns or queries professionally.
  • Maintain job time frames and standards by working efficiently and safely with a high-quality finish.
  • Order parts and manage jobs to ensure fast resolution to client issues or faults.
  • Liaise with residents and clients about the works being undertaken.
  • Stay up to date with all gas safety legislation and codes of practice.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • General competence in Commercial and Domestic Gas (CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT, CKR1, HTR1).
  • C&G Energy efficiency.
  • NVQ 2 or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience within the Social Housing or Housing Associations market.
  • A clean UK driving license and DBS check will be required.
