We work on behalf of a brilliant special school on the outskirts of Bath that are looking for a full-time SEMH Learning Support Assistant to support in one of their KS2 classes. The school look after a range of special needs but are primarily focused around SEMH & ASD.
We have 2 full-time members of staff working at the school currently, who absolutely love their time there, commenting on how supportive of a team they are. The school are also incredibly supportive of candidates who wish to develop into more senior roles and will support TA's wanting to start their teacher training.
The role
The gap the school have is within a KS2 class of 8 SEMH & ASD students. You will work alongside a permanent TA in supporting the class teacher with whatever they need.
You must be proactive, positive, patient and confident in dealing with challenging behaviour. Due to the needs of the students it is important you have worked with SEMH before in some capacity but they are open to a range of applications.
