If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our vibrant primary school in Bath as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant.
Key Responsibilities:- Support children with a range of additional needs, including challenging behaviour, SEND, and SEMH.
- Work closely with the class teacher to implement tailored learning strategies and interventions.
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, helping them to engage in lessons and develop their academic, social, and emotional skills.
- Assist in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Help with the development and implementation of Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs) and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Build positive, trusting relationships with students to support their wellbeing and progress.
- Proven experience working with children with challenging behaviour, SEND, and SEMH.
- A deep understanding of the needs of children with additional learning or emotional needs.
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm and positive in challenging situations.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- A caring, empathetic approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Experience working in a primary school or similar educational setting.
- Knowledge of relevant strategies and interventions for managing challenging behaviour and supporting SEMH needs.
