Join our dynamic team as a Sous chef at Hopetoun Bar and Bistro in Bathgate. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the culinary team, ensuring the preparation of high-quality dishes for our valued customers. Responsibilities:

  • Execute meal preparation tasks according to established recipes and guidelines.
  • Being responsible for the kitchen team and reporting to the company executive chef
  • Adhere to food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients and cooking processes as needed.
  • Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient work environment in the kitchen.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a restaurant or kitchen environment is essential
  • Knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations effectively.
  • Experience in cooking, meal preparation, or working in a restaurant setting is beneficial.

This position is a salaried position of £33,000 per year. All of our staff receive weekly cash tips and 20% staff discounts at our other restaurants (Bathgate Golf Club and Uphall Golf Club) If you are a dedicated individual with a passion for cooking and a desire to excel in a dynamic culinary environment, we invite you to apply for the Sous Chef position.
