There is a lot of change occurring in the business so you must be agile, flexible and adaptable to get involved with any challenges and new processes/systems.The scope of this role will cover anything from transactional finance, to getting involved in month end prep, analysis and business partnering, to engaging with senior personnel including family owners where necessary. What might your day to day look like?No two days will be the same with the variety that this role presents. Your duties will include, but not be limited to the following;
  • Assisting with month-end accounts
  • Preparation of accruals & prepayments and journal postings
  • Ensure internal controls & policy compliance
  • Ensure accurate recording of departmental costs
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Reporting and analysis
  • Budgets and forecasts
  • Maintenance of Fixed Asset Registers
  • Processing payrolls occasionally
  • Reconciling PAYE / NIC and ensuring timely payments
  • Controlling expense payments and company credit cards
  • Completion and return of all Office for National Statistics (ONS) forms
  • Ensure internal controls & policy compliance
  • Supporting colleagues with ad hoc analysis and business insight
  • Working closely with, and supporting, the Financial Controller
