Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to manage time effectively while adhering to delivery schedules.
This is a Monday to Friday role starting between 0430-0630 daily. The role is multi drop with up to 15 drops daily.
This is a temp to perm role for the right candidate. (12 Weeks)
Duties
- Load and unload goods securely, ensuring that all items are transported safely to their destination.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that occur during transport.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to safety and compliance.
Qualifications
- 1 year class 2 experience with a valid CPC and Digi card
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for driving large vehicles.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
- Good physical fitness to handle loading and unloading tasks as required.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients.
