Civil Site Engineer

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer on behalf of a reputable civil engineering main contractor to work on new, upcoming projects in the West Yorkshirearea initially.

A reputable main contractor with a strong presence in the North of England. A contractor who're known for their staff development and long staff tenures. Attracting & retaining talent from Tier 1 & 2 contractors. Recent growth has seen them surpass 300m turnover and each year dominatinglocal authority frameworks in West & South Yorkshire. All work regional with no working away.

Initial work for the successful Engineer:public realm & highwaysaround the Calderdale / Kirklees region. Local authority works for councils. Focusing on developing town centre/city centre spaces and transport routes. Values circa. 8m each.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

• Setting out- using relevant kit
• As-built surveys
• QA
• Quality control
• Assisting Site Agent
• Service location & avoidance
• Managingsub-contractors
• Issuing and amending permits
• Temporary Works involvement on site

Experience required:

• Candidates should have proven experience asSite Engineerwith a principal contractor on highways / heavy civilsprojects
• Must be fully competent with working as PC and adept with documentation and site engineering processes.
• Must be strong with quality related duties - QA, ITP's, ITR's
• Must have experience with relevantkit: Total Station, Leica, Topcon etc.
• Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree).
• Must hold: CSCS card and full driving license.
• Qualifications such as: SMSTS, Temp Works, CAT & Gennyetc. are beneficial.

Remuneration:

A salary of up to 50,000 (dependant upon experience) plus:

1. Company vehicle or allowance
2. Fuel card - covering full business & part personal mileage compensation
