Support Worker

We are recruiting for a Support Worker to join our lovely team on a part-time, permanent (hours available Monday - Sunday) basis based in the Wakefiled area. In return, you will receive a competitive salary of £13.00 per hour Mon – Fri, and £14.00 per hour Sat & Sun.

We are extremely proud to offer very distinct and specialised case management services for adults and children recovering from an acquired / traumatic brain injury, spinal or catastrophic injuries and associated disabilities or conditions.

The Support Worker Role:

We are recruiting for a support worker to work with a client who is 10 years of age. He has epilepsy, learning difficulties, behavioural issues, feeding difficulties and requires support 24/7.

The client lives in the Wakefield area with his parents and siblings.

The role will involve enabling the client to engage in rehabilitation, activities of daily living and recreational activities, and empowering them to be as independent as possible. The client requires complex support in their day to day needs.

What we are looking for in our Support Worker:

• We are seeking staff with excellent communication skills and a desire to provide individualised support
• Previous care experience with children is preferred
• Staff must be able to participate in a range of activities with the client
• The role will require some flexibility but will be predominantly Monday – Sunday
• Applicants must be proactive, patient and organized and have a calm and confident demeanor
• The successful applicant will receive full training for this role, input from Therapists and regular supervision by the Case Manager
• Driver with full UK License essential
