You will be handling both lettings and business accounts, therefore, you will ideally have experience working within a property accounts role, however, our client is also willing to consider someone with accounts experience within a similar industry.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing financial planning & analyst capability to track and report on financial performance• Producing annual financial statements and accounts, ensuring compliance with best financial practices and a clean audit report• Dealing with Profit and Loss• Handling VAT returns• Producing consolidated monthly management accounts• Maintaining weekly accounts payable and accounts receivable, cash, and bank reconciliations• Preparing budgets and forecasts and monitoring them continuously• Assisting with payroll processes and HMRC queries• Continuously improving and maintaining end-to-end financial processes• Ensuring tenant payment details complying with the Direct Debit Guarantee Scheme• Managing deposit returns• Processing relevant payments as required• Monitoring outstanding rent amounts and chasing rent arrears• Investigating and resolving lettings accounts queries• Dealing with new tenancy details.

Personal specification:

• Preferably have experience within a lettings accounts role - preferred• Strong accounts experience• IT literate - strong Excel skills, systems experience• Knowledge of using Xero would be advantageous• Excellent presentation skills• A desire to learn and grow within the company• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

The salary on offer will be in the region of ÂŁ45,000 to ÂŁ55,000 dependent on previous experience.
