Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with Severfield, the largest specialist structural steelwork Group in the UK, with the appointment of a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the group’s Nuclear and Infrastructure division, working at Hinkley Point 3 days a week Tuesday to Thursday and 2 days work from home.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor you will be working on this high value and critical project, building relationships with a high-profile client.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for: 

  • Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of the project 
  • Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account
  • Managing variations and changes with customers
  • Working as part of an experienced commercial team
  • Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
  • Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes. 

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will need: 

  • Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS
  • Construction industry experience in a commercial role
  • Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence
  • An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
  • Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
