Wise May are recruiting for a Financial Controller to join a customer centric Insurance Broker based in Greater London, near Bromley to undertake a hands on role managing their accounting function.
Finacial Controller Key Responsibilities:
- Daily banking.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and all finance operations.
- Reconcile financial transactions and ensure accuracy across internal systems.
- Credit card reconciliation.
- Manage and process refunds for policyholders and brokers.
- Daily and monthly bordereau reporting.
- Processing Staff payroll, pension and rental payments.
- Provide accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Purchase Ledger.
- Renewal monitoring and processing.
- Streamline processes and drive efficiencies.
- Ensure all sensitive financial information, including company and client data and financial records remain confidential.
Financial Controller Skills and Experience
- Practiced accounts professional with a background in the insurance or financial services sector.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial control principles.
- Proficiency in Sage and general accounting software.
- A systematic, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work to tight deadlines and arrange own time effectively.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Adept at ensuring all sensitive financial information is kept confidential.
