South East London based multi national distribution group are now looking for a highly experienced financial accountant to join the UK based finance team at a time of real growth and development for the business as it enters its next stage of development. Reporting to the Finance Director you will be responsible for compliance and tax. Duties will include:-

Responsibility of the Financial Accountant role: -

  • Statutory and compliance reporting, setting up processes and work closely with all areas of the business in the UK and overseas
  • Review payroll and pension compliance and IR35 requirements
  • Oversee all expenses and regulatory reporting
  • Accurate reporting and IFRS on lease management
  • Liaise with overseas finance teams to ensure accuracy of tax liabilities and local VAT requirements are upto date
  • Maintain UK corporate tax, UK VAT and manage the UK statutory audit

Requirements of the Financial Accountant role:-

  • The ideal person will be ACA or ACCA qualified with a relevant degree
  • Strong knowledge of tax, payroll, and statutory accounts
  • Exposure to overseas offices
  • Good knowledge of payroll compliance
  • First rate communication skills as this role will be very visible across the group
