Henderson Brown is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established food manufacturer based in North Yorkshire, who are looking for an Engineering Shift Leader to oversee a team of Engineers for their site.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, prioritise, and coordinate planned and reactive maintenance work to ensure plant availability.
* Ensure all work complies with safety, food safety, legal standards, and company policies, maintaining accurate documentation.
* Leading a team of Engineers, overseeing their daily tasks and performance.
* Monitor and escalate Health and Safety, Food Safety, and audit standards, working with shift managers to resolve issues.
* Support the technical and operations teams with audit, retail, and food safety requirements.
* Drive Health, Safety, and Environment improvement initiatives and actions.
* Organise planned work and coordinate reactive works and plant availability prioritisation.
* Supervise and organise reactive contractors and contracted service requirements, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant.

Requirements:

* Level 3 Equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, i.e. HNC/NVQ
* Experience in Lean manufacturing principles.
* Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
* Knowledge of HACCP.
* Proven leadership experience with a focus on coaching and mentoring teams.
